My name is Jonathan Till. I'm a chef at a place called Evening Star Cafe, a neighborhood restaurant in Alexandria VA. My passion is cooking and bringing people together through food, and using the foods I forage to do so!
This blog and website will follow me through the seasons as I forage locally and create recipes and dishes at Evening Star (and my house) with the ingredients I forage. These recipes will later be compiled into a comprehensive cookbook that will help you identify whats growing in your backyard and how to properly and sustainably harvest and cook these ingredients.
